Cruisy Week

A good week training wise this week. Still a lot of work to be done but the wheels are in motion.

Mainly easy running to get back in to the swing of things with some 200's on Tuesday night and another handicap race yesterday finished off with my first 1 hour run today.

Mon: Easy 25min
Tues: 4 x 200m w/ 200m rec. Ave 33's in Flats.
Wed: Easy 45min
Thur: Easy 20min
Fri: Easy 10min
Sat: Race 6km 22:49
Sun: Easy 60min

Started as the Backmarker yesterday due to most of the better runners at LAC running a seperate race against PCCCT from Burnie. The runner in front of me had 3 minutes head start and I never looked like catching him. Still, I was happy with my time over 6km and some improvement on last week was evident. My average HR was 8bpm lower than last week and I went thru 5km yesterday in the same time as last week also. The 2nd half was only 13sec slower than the first half where as last week it was about a minute difference.

I am running the Launceston 10 next Sunday and I have no idea what time to expect. I guess based on last week and yesterday I should finish in around 37 - 38 minutes somewhere.

Will get out another hour on Wednesday night as I wont get an hour in next weekend. Long runs from here on in are important as they help build the strength that I will need later on.

Will run some reps during the week, probably over 500m, and the some 150's on Saturday arvo at the Track.

Cheers

AW
