Going Long

The k's are starting to stack up a bit.

1hr and 50 minutes on Sunday followed by another 60 minutes Monday night, Mona fartlek last night and 70 minutes tonight.

The best part is I am feeling strong. As with all my fartlek sessions I ran Mona last night out and back, turning at 10 minutes, and making it back to the start point with 10 seconds to spare. It seems I am making a habit of getting back with 10 seconds up my sleeve. The last 3 or 4 sessions have all been back within 10 seconds. Spooky.

I was planning on running the State 3000 on Feb 9, but I think I will bypass it and concentrate on getting some miles in the legs and building a base to build on later. Still undecided about the State 5000 in March but will see how training is going a little closer to the date.

Off to Melbourne this weekend and hoping to catch up with a few people. Planning on doing my long run at the You Yangs on Sunday morning. I have never run there and definitely looking forward to it.
