Chilly on the Willy!!!

Ran the Launceston 10 this morning and it was cold, damn cold. How cold? Well at the end of the race it hurt to piss!!!!! Check out the fog in the pic. Say no more.

Being an out and back course meant that we could get a good look at the leaders as they were coming back. Troopy was on the front doing his thing yet again, but unfortunately injured himself and didnt finish.

I finished in 37:32 and was pretty happy considering I have only had about 3 weeks training since recovering from my Calf injury. Things are getting better.

I decided to wear my Racing flats but took the precaution of putting another Insole in them to build the heel area up a bit therefore protecting my Calf. Good idea as I had no problems.

Next up is the State XC Champs in Hobart in 2 weeks. Not too sure what to expect but I guess my training over the next week or so will tell me. Will start adding a speed session to my training as of this week and hopefully that will add the spark which is currently missing.

See how we go.

So how has the running been going lately, will Western Aths see you for the Half Marathon on Sun 09 Sep or the Tan Relays (3.8km) on Sat morning 22 Sep 07???

Have you got that calf fixed yet?
